Special guest: the international étoile Friedemann Vogel, Principal Dancer of the Stuttgart Ballet, accompanied by the Theatre’s principal dancers Alessandra Amato and Rebecca Bianchi.
An evening dedicated to the choreography of Rudolf Nureyev (1938-1993), who is also remembered for giving a new twist to some of the greatest classical masterpieces, as well as being a famous ballet dancer, whose virtuosity and extraordinary interpretation has ensured his place in the history of world ballet. Fascinated by the works of the French choreographer Marius Petipa (1818-1910), over the course of his career Nureyev restaged all his ballets.
The evening’s program will consist of three extracts from famous ballets: La Bayadère, Swan Lake and Raymonda. More precisely, Act III of La Bayadère; “La Polonaise” (Act I) and the “pas de trois” of the Black Swan (Act III) from Swan Lake, both revived by Patricia Ruanne, dance master of the Nureyev Repertory. The evening’s entertainment will end with Act III of Raymonda, by Patricia Ruanne and Frédéric Jahn. While the last of these extracts has already been included in the “Great Choreographers” programme at the Teatro Costanzi (26 February to 2 March 2016), the other two will represent a first for the Teatro dell’Opera’s corps de ballet, having never been presented by them before.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=”” css=”.vc_custom_1460915283368{padding-top: 50px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

RAYMONDA ACT III

Music by Aleksandr Glazunov

Choreography Rudolf Nureyev
revived by Patricia Ruanne, Frédéric Jahn

IL LAGO DEI CIGNI
La Polonaise, act I
Pas de Trois del cigno nero, act III

Music by Pëtr Il’ič Čajkovskij

Choreography Rudolf Nureyev
revived by Patricia Ruanne

LA BAYADÈRE ACT III

Music by Ludwig Minkus

Choreography Rudolf Nureyev
revived by Patricia Ruanne

Friedeman Vogel, Principal Guest Dancer
Soloists and Corps de Ballet of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma

Music on recorded basis are played by Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=”” css=”.vc_custom_1460915585034{padding-top: 50px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”16642″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[143,100,144,8,102
213,135,27,112,114,180
